Ingredients:
- 130g plain flour
- Pinch of salt
- 60g sugar
- 1ts cardamom
- 80g butter
- 2 eggs
- Pinch of salt
- 1g cardamom
- 4 apples
- 20g sugar
- 1g cinnamon
- 1g ground ginger
- 1g nutmeg
- Preheat the oven to 190 celsius degrees.
- Whisk the flour, salt, 40 gram sugar and cardamom together in a bowl. Add the butter and mix together with the flour. Add one egg and knead until the dough comes together.
- Form the dough in a square and wrap in plastic. Chill the dough for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- In the meantime: clean the apples and slice them really thin. You can leave the skin on. Mix together with 20g sugar, cinnamon, ground ginger and nutmeg.
- Take the dough out of the refrigerator. Roll out on a floured surface. Arrange the apples over the dough. Lift the edges of the dough over the apples.
- Whisk one egg and brush the crust of the galette with the egg. If you like; sprinkle some extra sugar on the crust and a pinch of cinnamon.
- Bake the galette in the oven for 40-50 minutes.
